AIXAM MEGA TRANSFERS ‘NICE CAR’ ELECTRIC VEHICLE SALES OPERATIONS TO RUGBY HEAD OFFICE

Aixam Mega Ltd is transferring the commercial sales operations of its wholly-owned London dealership NICE Car to its main distribution centre in Rugby, Warwickshire from Monday, 1 February.

The company says that its core market of large businesses and public sector organisations can be served more efficiently from its central office.

Servicing arrangements have been made with Tottenham-based Hiremech Ltd, which is an independent dealer in the Aixam Mega range of electric vehicles, to ensure that London-based owners of Mega e-City and Mega Multitruck vehicles have access to full service and repair facilities.

Justin Bond, Aixam Mega Ltd’s national sales manager, said that Hiremech’s large service centre and its ability to make service calls to a customer’s own premises would ensure that Mega drivers in the capital are not inconvenienced by the change.

He said: “We took over the NICE Car retail operation 12 months ago, when the former management hit difficulties, to ensure continuity of service within London, but Aixam Mega’s long-term focus is on manufacturing and distribution and we are happy to leave retail sales and ongoing service in the hands of those best equipped to handle them.

“We are confident that Hiremech, which is an established Mega dealer, can provide the support that our existing London-based customers need.

“The sales team in Rugby will concentrate on sales to large businesses and on assisting the dealer network.”

Aixam Mega is Europe’s largest supplier of ultra-light electric vehicles, having invested heavily in the development of electric vehicle technology over an extended period. The company designed the Mega e-City specifically for the UK market.
